Managing Anti-social Behaviour

Introduced by the Labour Government's Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005, Gating Orders allow a local authority to restrict access to a public highway if there is evidence that the highway facilitates crime or anti-social behaviour.

Before implementing a Gating Order, alternative methods of managing the problem should have been tried
